Stryper's the best known, but check out Barren Cross, Bride, Bloodgood, Barnabas and Resurrection Band (later known as Rez).

If you like Sabbath, there was an 80's band called "Trouble" that sounded exactly like them.

I hate to quibble over decades, but Black Sabbath was more of a 70s band. They were long past their prime when the 80s hit.

That said, there's only one band you need to know about and its name is Stryper.

Type "Stryper, rock band" into the search engine of your choice and you will be set free my young "cristian" friend.

Amen and stuff.

You know there use to be a Christian rock band back in the 80's called Stryker. I guess you could look up Christian rock band sites and see if you can find anything there. Good Luck. Stryker spelled their name weird I hope I've got it right.

Check out Stryper. They are an 80's Christian hair metal band. You ought to still be able to find their album "To Hell With the Devil" at Best Buy or Circuit City, or definitely at Amazon.

Myspace.com will allow you to search bands by genre. You can also hear samples of songs by the artists.

Also try itunes. Again you can search by genre and sample the music.

Good luck
