Barbra Streisand say's Americans are very selfish with natural resources and we better learn to live with less.
She gave that speech 26 miles from her home, she arrived with 68 people from her anterauge all driving very comfortable SUV'S. Then they retired back at Bab's mansion staring at her water fountains...wonder if anyone asked her why she pay's a 22 thousand dollar a month water bill?
I guess that's okay because she's a liberal!

Seems like she is saying, "do as I say, not as I do. I know what's best for you. I need the additional resources so I can tell you how to conserve. My intentions are good, so it's OK."
Seriously I saw one of her mansions in St. Thomas, US VI, very nice, and big. One thing my brother once said that I thought was hilarious, "The world should be clean for the rich to enjoy."
I am tired of actors and singers behaving as if they have advanced degrees in Pulic Policy, Economics and Environmental Engineering. Most have no formal education beyond high school, so all they are doing is spouting "opinion" and you know what opinions are like.

It's not americans who are selfish. Every country has greedy stingy people too. Do you realize the cost of living a "US" lifestyle" is making mother nature want to puke. In terms of energy and consumption needs, America is one big hungry machine... It is the number nation that uses too much energy. WIth limited resources now, people have to be stingy because there is not an abundance of resources left over. People are using less to live their life because it's getting harder and harder to survive with 6.5 billion plus people.
Here are some things that will end:
Zinc: 20 to 30 years
clean drinking water: soon....
iron: 100 years
copper: 20 to 30 years

In case no one ever mentioned it Americans are considered the most gluttonous people on Earth by all the others. American kids are not fat and diabetic because they are physically active and eat moderately.

WE are the most wasteful country, and we should learn to be more efficient and more global conscious though.
It's ok to say because it is sort of true. but it shouldn't come from someone who can live with about 99% less than what she has.

Why do we even listen to her and let her get us heated up??
She shocked and awed us years ago with our vets...and now we are going to let her do it us again?? Why do we let HOLLYWOOD get to us??? And why do we follow them?? Why don't we follow and listen to our guys and gals over in Iraq or other countries that are fighting for our freedom??? Let them be our HOLLYWOOD??? SUPPORT or TROOPS!!!! You might not agree with Bush but at least support them!!!
