well, surely stopping climate change is a worthy cause. People say stopping illiteracy and poverty are more important, but if climate change gets too out of hand (and recently scientists say we have 10 years to stop polluting the air) there will be no poor or illiterate people left to help, as they will all have died of extreme hot/cold, or the effects of it, such as starvation, increase in power prices, complete shut down of factories etc. because they did't invest in solar/wave power at the right time
so basically, i think it's great.

Fumes from Airliners are a major contributor to clobal warming so by getting more planes in the air to pay for the funding of global warming its only going to make matters worse, he would be better off investing that $3 billion dollars on a brain. Also climate change will happen... no matter what we do... its called evolution, we are overdue for an ice age. The earth will heat up and cool down but over hundreds or thousands of years. As for the 2 B's bush and b.liar... they say they care but wont dig into their own pockets to do anyhting about it, its not going to happen in their lives but maybe their kids, very selfish and un caring. Neither of them couldnt run a nursery without making a hash of things

How much money has the man made off of polluting the atmosphere? Thumbs up for not putting ALL of it in his pocket, but he probably is aware that the EU will have to clamp down on air travel before too long. He'll get tax breaks on his charity, loads of good will and avoid aviation fuel taxes. It's all win for him.

Richard Branson does not have £3bn. Branson is a master of using other people's money to promote himself, he was given a rail company for free, and all other virgin brands have been financed by other people. .. example. virgin airline's financed by Singapore airlines

Bit of a waste of money... I don't see how he'll do it. But he should be Prime Minister, it'll be nice to have a man who gives a damm!
That person above said so too! We should start a petition!
