a computer or a human?

Do I get to choose the human I take with me? Do you choose the human I take with me? Do we have electricity? Is the computer fitted with a battery that lasts one hundred years? So many questions, very little beach space! I need to know these things before I pack! With a computer I don't need a blow dryer! With a human I need to have my curling iron! Can I order take out? Or will I need someone to help me cut down the coconut tree? I just can't go get myself stuck on some island in the middle of some ocean surrounded by sharks and not have all this worked out before I leave! Do I have to make spears to catch fish? Or do I get a fishing pole to catch a merman? Now, will this be in the winter time, or in the middle of summer? Will I need to bring a rain coat to keep myself warm or will I be-able to plug in a heater and share a hot Toddie with my human? Oh, yes, and will I be-able to play games on line or do I need to pack a chess board? I really need a bit more info. in order to make my decision! Hmm, now what to pack? I suppose if I have my computer I could order something on line and not worry about the suitcase, but if I don't have my computer I will need to bring my little black dress for those.. you know... warm nights? Okay, well enough of this I think I'll start my list and get back to you on this one!

Human

A human. You can't make a personal connection with a computer and it would be awfully lonely. The person would help you find water, cut down coconuts, build shelter. A computer would only tell you how, and you would have to do all the work yourself.

A computer if you have satellite connection. That way you can go online to get help and be rescued.
If you don't have a satellite connection, then I would say a human of the opposite sex, preferably a loved one. To keep you company, to help you making shelter, finding food and fresh water and someone to talk to.

Assuming the computer had a modem and you could hook up some sort of wireless access with coconuts like the professor on Giligan's Island...I'd want that so I could send an SOS message.

A human.

Depending on how long you were gonna be there because the computer would become outdated before a human would :)
