Hard working Americans subsidize these bstards to come into their communities through tax refunds. Those dollars come out of your and my pockets.

Then Walmart pays low wages while helping their employees take advantage of government programs such as food stamps, child care and health care. That comes out of your and my wallets.

Therefore, if you are stupid enough to shop at Walmart, you're picking my pockets and you must stop.

Fight these bstards and the idiots that shop there every chance you get.
Walmart exists only because it has become adept at gorging at the public trough. When wally world came to my town it got: Land it didn't have to pay for, utility upgrades paid for, access improvements it didn't pay for, subsidzed workers wages and free training, it's workers are the single largest receipient of state health care...It would seem that socialism is okay for huge multinationals.

"The highest pecentage of employed people on Medicaid in one state; California work for Walmart!"

This is true in 29+ states and it grows every year. I am a Conservative Republican and Walmart's tactics are nothing short of what we expect from a Communist dictatorship.

Stop all public funding for Walmart employees and stop all tax subsidies to bring them to your town!

Yes, and that's why I won't vote for Hillary Clinton. She served on the board of directors for six years.

Look it up. I sh*t you not.

(I may be sarcastic about Wal-mart, but the Hillary fact is true.)

PS Hillary is not my cup of tea either, obviously. :)

Uncle Sam does have interesting points. I'll look into it. Then again, if what he says is true, what were all these poor people doing BEFORE Wal-Mart came? Was 100% of their income from the public trough? Presumably, these people are now making some income, paying some taxes, and spending some money in the community that they otherwise wouldn't be. Or is it that these people already had jobs, and Wal-Mart drove the other stores out of business?

I'm no apologist for Wal-Mart - I don't shop there. I just want to be sure I understand.

Interesting topic!

I once read in a commertary in a newspaper that Wal-Mart is the most hated company in the world because they are a very successful company. In an article I read recently, I read that when Wal-Mart decides to open a Wal-Mart Supercenter (the ones that sell Groceries), it is likely that two local groceries stores will go out of business and many businesses will close down because they are unable to compete with Wal-Mart. As for me, my favorite discount store to shop at is Target because the store is clean, helpful associates, organized asiles, and the cashiers are quick on their feet so you are in and out and their parking is great.

Wal-Mart alone is responsible for 10% of the U.S. trade deficit with China. Wal-Mart is getting rich off the backs of cheap labor in China. A factory in China can employ 149 Chinese workers for what it cost to employ 1 American. The American wage earner cannot compete with that type of imbalance. 100% of American textile jobs have been exported to China. 70% of our IT jobs have gone to India. 50% of our manufacturing and engineering jobs crossed the border to Mexico. All these were medium income jobs which supported American families. In return, we get more low paying jobs like greeter at Wal-Mart. Everything sold at Wal-Mart is imported thanks to the free trade acts. Companies like Wal-Mart prosper while fewer Americans have health care insurance.
Wal-Mart and many other American companies have conspired with wealthy politicians to turn America into a Plutocracy. If left unchecked, they will pick the pockets of the middle class clean.

Here is what I don't understand. We live in a free society to shop anywhere we choose. The reason Wal-mart is successful is because of its customers. You want wal-mart to change then you need to shop elsewhere. The consumer has the power and the responsibility in regards to Wal-mart.

If you don't like it, don't shop there. This is the DNC campaign plan for 2006: Trash Wal-Mart. Of course, that's only because their labor is non-union.

It won't help your chances this fall by villifying the largest private employer in the U.S.
