I’m not sure if the Salvation Army actually counts as a branch of military service. However, I would go Air Force if I went at all.

Coast Guard (without hesitation)
- Same pay & benefits as other services.
- Work mostly in the United States.
- Wider variety of everyday jobs (rescue, police, coastal navigation, boating safety, homeland security, and more).
- Wider range of job options (can train for land, boat/ship, or aircraft jobs).
- More action (something happening every single day).
- Often nicer work environments (smaller duty locations with relatively small staffs).
- Respect & Gratitude (every boater knows his/her life may one day depend on a coastie).
