I hope not. But I don't think it will make a difference except to remind people of who they have problems with and maybe they'll think about making peace with that person. I have a disagreement with someone right now but IPD won't make me make up with them yet.

International Peace Day means nothing to those who terrorize and kill unarmed people, those that seek ethnic or religious cleansing, those that are taking vengeance and those that seek power out of greed. The time is coming soon though when the government of God will put an end to war and suffering. It's what Jesus prayed for in his sample prayer when he said, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. You can see God's promise to deliver such a government in the words at Daniel 2:44. Until then, wars will continue. You can be encouraged though because all of God's promises have or will be kept.

There is an international peace day?? no, really, i had no idea.
Surely it is a waste of time, with everyone fighting everyone, and everyone fighting everyone for fighting everyone, and basically no one having enough time to stop and think - ohh, it's national peace day.... lets reflect...
If they had honored it in Iraq, the coalition forces, and the new iraqi government would have been blown to peaces by the very extremeists they want to find.
So, basically, it is a rediculous idea to try to get the people we are fighting to respect this day, as it is their very nature to ignore attempts at peace, and to turn it against us.

At an age, where we are seeing all days of the calendar has some 'nominated days'. When people celebrate for crazy reasons, just by naming them, which makes no sense, peace day seems to be a better alternative than all.

'PEACE STARTS AT MIND'. This is enough rather than to have celebrations.
