Depends on which type of monitor you have.

The older ones that look like a TV are called CRT, or cathode ray tube.

The newer, flat panel screens are called LCD, liquid crystal display or LED, light emiting diode.

The screen of your monitor is called simple SCREEN. the whole device itself is called MONITOR regardless if it is CRT or LCD, its a monitor.

CRT are the big older monitors these have better image quality than LCD which are the flat panels.
