I'm a vegetarian who wears leather shoes. Why? Because I don't eat my shoes and I'm only a vegetarian because I don't like the taste of meat.

Actually, I'm a vegetarian, but I don't go around trying to convert people or make them feel guilty. It's a matter of individual choice.
BUT I do find that when people discover I'm a vegetarian, they like to make a big issue out of it - far more than I ever make an issue out of meat eating. "Hey, look at this - I'm eating poor defenceless dead animals! Hah hah hah!" is a typical response. It's really quite annoying. All the more so because I'm not actually half as squeamish about the idea of eating dead animals as the silly berks think.
You might like to think about that.
NB man evolved as an omnivore to enable us to eat different kinds of food depending on what's available - it doesn't mean we are 'designed to eat both meat and vegetables'.

Totally agree with you, my husbands cousin is a vegetarian and whinges about anything even looking like an animal food wise on her plate, 2 weeks ago she was in Italy buying expensive leather shoes and handbags, belts and jackets for herself, when I asked her why she thought it was disgusting to eat the flesh of an animal, then why was it not disgusting to slaughter an animal for its leather for her shoes and bags, guess what she said, but humans don't eat animal hide just there meat so it would be a waste to chuck it away, take about having more faces than Big Ben, one rule for food and another for expensive leather items.

I agree. I have a friend who is vegetarian and yaps at me for eating meat saying things like 'oh how can you eat that lamb, just think of all the little lambs running round playing in the fields . . . ' to which I reply 'there wouldn't be any lambs in the fields if we didn't eat them - that's why farmers keep them, not just to look cute for people driving past'.
Honestly, it infuriates me. She sleeps on a feather pillow too, I mean COME ON !

Well, yeah, that's hypocrisy, but then there's other people who are vegeterians 'cause they think it's healthier or they get grossed out by meat, like me! I'm not a vegeterian but don't eat a lot of meat. I don't care about the animals (well, I mean not in a fanatical way), meat just grosses me out. I eat chicken breast and salmon fillets tho...

Yes, I find it hard to understand people from Vegetaria sometimes... however, I do think before you start accusing people of being half wits you ought to sort out your grammar, at least six basic errors in your submission above....

95% of vegetarians are the worst kind of hypocrites, and totally miss the point of what animals are all about.
