This morning on Air America the host said he agreed with Ahmadinejad questioning the hows and whys of the holocaust and that opening a dialog on the placement of Israel was not a bad idea.

Is this a common belief that all liberals share, or is their spokemans on "America's Progressive Radio" a lone liberal lunatic with a 50,000 watt transmitter?

ranger12: thank you for flaunting your ignorance. I so love when people attempt to "correct" others and wind up making a horse's *** of themselves, as you just did.

"Support Ahmandinajad questioning the holocaust" is correct. If you use the possessive form it would be "support Ahmanijad's questioning OF the holocaust."
So as I assume in most things in life, I am right, and you are wrong.

I do admit to the typo of existence and spokesmans, they were typos.

Additionally it is not a rant, but a question with supporting facts. But I have an additional questions for you.

Why avoid not just this question, but every other question of mine you "answer"? Are you that intimidated by a woman that you had to turn this into a personal attack? I'm guessing you are intimidated by a woman, who aside from the occassional typo, is far more intelligent than you. FYI, the picture was candid.

Because anything that is anti-Bush is ok with them, and it's sad that they're putting partisan politics over the good of the country. Ahmadenijad is a madman dictator and when Bush is gone from office he'll still be preaching his "down with America" rhetoric.

because Turkey and Israel were allies in the course of the chilly conflict at the same time as Armenia turned right into a republic interior the Soviet Union accordingly in reality having diplomatic relatives considering 1991 at the same time as with Turkey considering 1948. I don't like the concept, but I do like two things about the discussion: 1) Freedom of the press and freedom to think. And 2) The determination of people not to let the Holocaust simply rest as a horrible disaster to be forgotten. If it is remembered, discussed, and intellectually explored, it is more likely to continue to impress our society as a very real and potentially repeatable mistake made not that long ago.

But making it "right" or acceptable...well, that's a rough stretch by someone who perhaps doesn't fully understand what happened.

I don't think most liberals would accept this contention. Now the Bush hating crowd is a different matter. I am not a liberal, I am a moderate conservative, but I do know many liberals. Contrary to bomb throwers posts on Yahoo Answer, most liberals I know are thoughtful, honest people. Even though we don't always agree, I don't find their views in any way subversive. The talk show host is surely playing to a particular radical audience for ratings.

Now having said that I find several of the liberal answers here amusing. Appears to me that they didn't even bother to read the question. They saw the word liberal and immediately turned reactionary. I really love the one that said it was Rush Limbaugh reactionaries. Apparently this guy doesn't know what Air America is.

If there was no holocaust, does that mean that all of WWII was a U.S. Government conspiracy organized by Franklin D. Roosevelt?
It's funny how quiet they are being about this, considering that he was a Democrat.

You'd think they'd want to defend their party or something. Or perhaps they just hope no one will realize that their party participates in wars, too.

Air America STILL hasn't repaid the money they borrowed from the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club.

First you ask "why do liberals support Ahmadinejad questioning the holocaust and the existance of Israel?" First lets try to delve as deep into english as you are into your conservative mindset. There should be an apostrophe s after Ahmadinejad. Next the word is "existence".

In your first sentence you make the assumption that liberals are supporting this questioning because you heard a liberal host on a radio show who supports the same. In your second paragraph in the body of your of your ranting you ask if this a common belief that all liberals share which in your opening sentence you have already assumed. You also ask if he is a "lone" lunatic right after you stated that he was "their" (meaning liberals) "spokesmans" (Try as I might, I can't think of any application where spokesman would be plural). Now if he is a lone lunatic he wouldn't be the spokesman for all liberals would he?

It sounds as though you have done nothing more than post some ranting with question marks.

Finally, I would like to add the unlike most conservatives, liberals usually think for themselves.

P.S. looking at the pose of your avatar, can you define conceited?

Air America, in case you haven't heard, is going bankrupt. Why? Their programming and views failed to connect with even the "liberal" audience they were supposed to speak for.

Just like conservatives, liberals have their fringes. Those you hear on Air America do not speak for, or even remotely resemble, the vast majority of liberals.

I will not be sorry to see them go.

As for the "placement of Israel", the UN dictated the boundaries of Israel in 1948, and Israel has ignored them ever since.

Seems there are many ignorant people in the world these days. But they want to deny the genocide committed against the Armenians, too. Go figure.

everybody is focusing on whether or not isreal was a bad idea- well its too late for that question. Isreal is here - been here for 50 yrs- we need to solve the problem of now instead of asking the question of why did we do that back then.

You're listening to talk radio. They get better rating if there's an argument. They're just trying to get people to argue, call in, think and discuss. It's a marketing ploy. Sad but true.
