Mr Reid simply gave advice to parents much the same way that one would give advice about drugs or vice. That the message be lambasted is simply ridiculous in the extreme. I am further dismayed by the muslim in the white pyjamas declaring to Mr. Reid " how dare you come here." It is obvious that it was the pyjama clad extremist who should be careful where he treads. If he was so in favour of an islamist state why is he here in Britain and not in some God foresaken desert? This nation is in a state of emergency and it is time for the muslim community to stand up and be counted: either they are loyal subjects or they are traitors. If they are British then they as a community should move heaven and earth to root out the terrorists. So far the muslim community has been conspicuously silent and any attempt to alleviate some of the threat that is present has been met with resistance and protest. I leave you the reader to draw your own conclusions as to why.

I agree with everything John Reid said (for once). It is the civic duty of all members of society to be vigilant and do everything they can to help prevent further terrorist attacks. Seeing as how the perpetrators of these attacks are muslims then the muslim community has a very important role to play in this. It is their responsibillity as British citizens.
It says a lot about someone if they have a problem with that.

Because unfortunately there are an idiot and narrow-minded minority of muslims who have forgotton how lucky they are to live in a free and tolerent society like Britain.

If they want to live in a state that dictates how people should live, who they should worship and opresses their women then there are plenty of countries around the world they can do that in.

Until we get on the front-foot and start to boot out some of these extremists (who we could deport on the basis of treason) then they will continue to discredit the British people, including the decent majority of British Muslims.

I attempted to do some research on the Koran.
One thing I found from some translators is that translations of the Koran number in the thousands. These sources indicate that even among the Muslim world, the Koran has as many interpretations.

The translations are "all" confusing, at best.

I listened recently on TV, to an ex Muslim, converted to Christianity.
"He" was giving "his" interpretation.

"He" made one statement of which "he" felt the world should be aware.

Quote:
The Koran teaches and proposes "Deceit" as a tool in order to conquer and convert the world".

"He" was quoting passages from the Koran to enforce his interpretation.

I had a father-in-law, deceased, from Lebanon.
His family all converted to Greek Orthodox when they came here. His father and brothers and sisters.

I, too, find the "silence" deafening!

And now, the US finds itself tieing the hands of our Military and Security agents in the process of tracking terrorists.

The new proposal in Congress, likely to be enacted, requires that "tracking" can only be done, "when evidence of an imminent attack" is discovered.

That is laughable.
If we can't interrogate, and we can't track, "How in the name of God, can anyone know, "with evidence", that an attack is IMMINENT?"

Folks, put you affairs in order, in case, any of your family survives.

Everyone repeat after me.
"Apeasement!"
Let me say that again.
Everyone repeat after me.
"Apeasement!"

If you read the comments on the BBC News website you'll find that many agree with Mr. Reid. As for the individual who said he shouldn't be there. I understand he is Jamaican and in my opinion he should have been put on the first flight back to Jamaica.

Muslims certainly declare that they are peaceful, but thier actions speak louder than mere words.
And those actions tell the world that they are a mysoginistic, violent and ignorant people who want the rules THIER way, or no way at all.
Go ahead muslims, convince me otherwise...

All religions believe they have the true god. Say anything about any one of them and they take offence. Become an agnostic!
