Please, please, please do not get so worried watching the dates. Yes it is very traumatic getting past that "safe" stage, but stress certainly doesn't help.
I had 5 miscarriages before 12 weeks so was chuffed to get to 13 weeks. My waters then broke but the pregnancy continued to 21 weeks. I then went into labour & my son never made it.
My following pregancies went fine up to 20 weeks, then because of my previous loss, my blood pressure shot through the roof and I was hospitalised several times until the children were born (both pregnancies at 20 weeks).
I have 2 healthy children, but we make oursleves ill with worry & that is the worst thing you can do.
Stay positive sweetheart, relax & enjoy your pregnancy.
Good luck :-)

The start of your fourth month ( or end of your third - however you look at it) is the end of the first trimester. Tri means 3............
Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

The first trimester is a third of your pregnancy so usually about 13.5 weeks pregnant you can feel a little more relaxed. The average pregnancy lasts for 40 weeks. Try not to worry..stress isn't good for pregnant ladies...put your feet up as much as possible.
Good Luck and Congratulations.

I'm pretty sure the beginning of week 14 is the beginning of the 2nd trimester. That woudl be 12 weeks post conception, 14 weeks from the first day of your last period.

Your first trimester is over at 12 weeks. Three months after that your second is over.
It really is every three months.
