No it will 100% die because it can't simply lose it's shell, it would have to be torn from its body, leaving it's flesh open & torn ....oh & of course it will vulnerable to predators, parasites & just general deay & infection.

No but it will if it's just damaged. I accidentally stood on a snail (gently) as a kid and felt so guilty I sellotaped it back together where it was cracked. A few months later the sellotape fell off anf it had an in tact shell again.

No. The snail will die. They can reapir cracks and msiing parts in the shell, but not grow a whole new one.

It will not grow back. It will be considered a slug then. It will live unless a) eaten by a bird b) dries up from the sun (on pavement,sidewalks) c) gets stepped on d) fries after some kid pours salt on it

if it is just cracked or broken then hyes it can rebuild its shell, with the help of some calcium (oyster shells, cuttle fish, old snail shells, egg shells) but if has come all the way out of its shell then it will die seeing as its heart is inside the shell and attached.
