To me it defines absurdity. My Family in the states (I live in London) was telling me there was something on a morning news program that New York was the most polite city in the world and also more polite than London. This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard in my entire life. That's like saying Baghdad is a great honeymoon destination for American couples, and that Hawaii is a terrible one.

They like to think they are but, in reality, they are far from it!

Apparently, they have not seen the transplanted New Yorkers here in S. Florida, because they are *maniacs* on the roads. One time, saw a guy who was double-parked and had a vanity tag. If I had a nickel for every time my vehicle was cut off by someone with a New York plate, I could move to someplace a bit milder in temperature and temperament (like Canada).

Haha... you made me laugh!! I agree... NYC is DEFINITELY not the most polite city in the world. London was much more polite, in my opinion.... I remember trying to carry my suitcase up about 3 flights of stairs at Kings Cross and a nice British gentleman offered to help me and he carried it up and did NOT run away with my bag! Now that's polite!! I love London... so perhaps I am partial... I want to move there.....
