I found the receipt for my old Texas TI99/4a from 31/12/83 the other day. It cost £79.90 from Comet.
It had a great game called Parsec.

I have been collecting old computers for about 8 years from car boot sales and sometimes from ebay. Car boot sale dont have very much these days so ebay is the only option.
Anyway I have working examples of:
1. Oric
2. BBC model B (i would like a model A)
3. ZX spectrum
4. Dragon 32
5. Atari 2600 (wood effect not the later wedge shape)
6. MB games vetrex
7. Comodore 64
8. Comodore Amiga 500, 600, 2X1200
9. Nintendo NES, SNES, Gameboy
10. Sega master system and gamegear
11. Atari ST X2 one with FM modulator one without
Out of all these I would say that the MB games vetrex is the most fun google it if you dont know what it is.

Course I do! I've got a modified xbox with about 800 odd commodore 64 games on it!
Wizball, Paradroid, Uridium, International Karate, Feud - I was telling my mates about them (i'm 22) and they couldn't understand how games so old could still be good. We had a gaming session and they were converted. The consensus was that they appreciate that the majority of games nowadays go more for better graphics/sound/complex physics engines over just plain simple playability.
It's a true sign of a great game when you can still pick it up and play with the same enjoyment after years. I appreciate they might not look as good, but what do you play games for - graphics or playability?

Heck yes! My first computer that I ever used was a Commodore 64. That thing was awesome! We had the tape drive, the 5 and a quarter inch floppy drive, and cartridges you could plug into the back of it too. That thing had some of the best games you could play on it. And I remember the most common loading command I had to use when I played games: Load "$",8,1
:-}

My love of computers started with a Spectrum 48k, the one where an external tape player was required to load anything. I had lots of games for it. Even now, I have a Spectrum emulator for my PC so that I can play the old classics and relive my childhood.
I ended up selling it for £5 to a friend years ago. I wish I'd kept it now, as their value is increasing.
