USED ON GM,FORD,CHRYSLER AND SOME IMPORTS 1984 TO PRESENT
WORKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ECM TO CONTROL VARIOUS FUNCTIONS INCLUDING:
HEATING AND A/C , DASH LIGHTS, PARKING LIGHTS, ALTERNATOR, ENGINE COOLING FAN, DOOR LOCKS, SUSPENSION, ETC

Do you mean ECM electronic control module ? Basicaly it's the car's computer for setting a bunch of things such as fuel intake etc ....
