Because I try not to become over whelmed with situation I have no control over, I rarely read the paper. I only watch local news and not often. Only when I need particular info. on an event of interest.

The longest was when I was adventuring out west, about two Years. Of late I've been without any venue for maybe six weeks, I haven't a clue whats going on other than what I'm told and generally I'm not paying attention. How long? Forever. I don't miss it at all, life is good; everyday!!!!

It wouldn't bother me to go without watching or reading the news indefinitely. It doesn't interest me. I would prefer reading a book or watching Christian television.

I'm a news junkie... if I go more than 3 of my waking hours without news, I go into withdrawls.

At least 1-2 weeks. Then someone says something big happened and I jump over to yahoo or cnn news.
