A summarized account of your life. It is very vague and doesn't go into too much detail. It is like writing an outline for a paper in college. Only the subject is YOU!
OKay I answered... Now gimmie all your shoes and no one gets hurt! IF YOU ARE THE REAL JIMMY CHOO that is????

An obituary is a paragraph about a deceased person. Just something the family would like everyone to know like the people that are still living in the family and the ones that died before this person. Sometimes it describes where they worked or things they enjoyed. And usually at the end it gives the funeral arrangements or something saying the arrangements are being made.

The obituaries here in Denver are extremely well written. I think the writer's name is Gary Masaro. Access the Denver Post and do a search on obituaries. He makes everyone's life sound wonderful.

An obituary is a published notice of a death, sometimes with a brief biography of the deceased.
For a comment above. An Epitaph is what goes on a person's tombstone.

An obituary is usually a text of praise concerning accomplishments in and of one's life. Most people don't write their own obituary, let alone do the speech of it because they are mainly reserved for dead people. So don't tell me you are staging your own death?!

You can't write your own obituary because if you did we would be in some kind of paradox where people write their own obituaries right before they die. It's kind of scary.

Start by reading the death notices in your local paper, there are
good obits and some poorly written. Keep what you like, write
it down or cut it out ~ ~ after a time, you can make up you own.
good luck

It is a public notice of a person's death. There are teachers in college(often English teachers) who ask their students to make one for themselves. Sounds morbid l know. All newspapers have a section of it. Happy choosing.

"Ah, Choo.
He blew things out of proportion, but he was never a slime ball."
There's your obit.
