Actually not American.
Throughout my childhood, I was brought up as a catholic, however during my teens I knew that religion has no part in my life.
However, I do follow the basics of christianity, ie. the 10 commandments because them on their own ensure you live a good, just life.
Religion is a personal thing/experience which should be kept as such and not enforced to others.
My question, was not is the slightest bigoted, just an observation with the current state of affairs going on in the world.
Your pathetic attempt to put down, quite a serious question, (if not slanderous to myself and "American Christians") is vile, and proves you cannot debate a serious issue.

secondly... spouting off rubbish without reading its context fully, digesting it properly and giving a credible answer is just juvenile.
Not once did I say my religion or faith is better than other one. If you insist on rather pathethic responses, at least have the courtesy to the author to read properly.
Or would you prefer if I wrote something in 'text' speak so you would understand.
ie. CUL8R m8!! haha

I appreciate your views. I will however attempt to answer the basic question you raised. Like all religions Islam too teaches all good things. There is one or two basic and intrinsic differences. First- Islam is frozen in 7Th century AD. The rules framed then are valid even today.Second-Islam does not permit any changes. From camels as a mode of transport the world has progressed to Space ships. There is great deal of freedom in societies and great progress in Democratic polity. Yet Muslims have the same autocratic rules where head of a religious sect give a ridiculous Fatwa unmindful of world around. That is the basic reason why Islam and its followers can never integrate in to a modern democratic society unless there are drastic changes which are highly unlikely in near or imaginable distant future.

Why not? Every other religion does it! Whether it be concealed underground or wherever. You've got your cults, it's getting to the point where Gangs are pretty much a religion. You have to live by certain codes or you get dismissed permanently. Being in a Cult is a religion! Being in a Gang is like a religion. So the Muslim faith is a real religion, if the other 2 are out here spreading their messages, why can't the Muslim faith. Yes 911 was a true messed up deal! But so is the Bloods and the Crips! So are the devil worshipers. There isn't anything you personally can do about any of it unless you want to join one of them! I don't like what's happening any more then the next person. But I have to let Congress/Government take care of that! I'm trying to make positive ways on how to raise my family and be healthy and happy each day.

All monotheism is the same, Christianity, Judaism and Islam all preach essentially the same core values its just the dogma and how to attain these values that differs.
All 3 are also ancient in someway, Islam being the youngest is still well over 1000 years old and yet Christianity didn't integrate, it was enforced onto populations by rulers who saw political capital in it. Judaism one could argue has never integrated into society very well and have always stood out from their reluctance to accept other faiths.
So perhaps no religion can integrate unless its core values include respect for other beliefs, which none of the above really does. Historically Islam has been very tolerant in general, read up about the history of Jerusalem and you will find the Islamic influence was generally very beneficial and allowed other faiths to practice without much hinderance.
Its not the faiths themselves that can't integrate its the people that interprete them for their own ends that can't as they see profit and power in cultural fractionation.

Arrogant Butthead! Does your religion have any place in the modern world?
I am guessing you are probably an American Christian with that attitude. Christianity in America is a joke, it is a corrupt abuse of power that has gone horribly wrong and the world would be a better place without it but.... As much as I hate American Christianity I believe people should be free to follow it if they wish so long as it does not harm others (which it currently is by the way).
What makes your religion is more worthy or better? Trust me it is not.
Personally I think nearly all religions are a pile of crap that people use as an excuse for acting crappily towards each other. Much like you are doing now.

The Muslim Faith is a False Faith started by the so-called evil prophet Mohammad. Christianity is the older of the religious faith's, and the fact is that whatever the U.S. Constitution says or whatever anyone says, Jesus Christ is Lord and putting your trust in Him will give you the Holy Spirit to reveal all Biblical proof, He will give you wisdom and understanding and He will show you it's not idea's or myth's....God is for real.
I have experienced things in my life that prove beyond doubt that Jesus Christ is watching over me, while in the Army or in Civilian Life, I have had near death experiences, and if it had not been for God, I definitely would not be here now. The Muslim Faith can never integrate into the western world because, they try and force their faith on you, while Jesus Christ gives you a choice, follow Him or go your own way!
Men and Women the world over have gone their own way, and look at the world today. Everything that is prophesied in the Bible is coming true!

Hopefully there is a place for any peaceful faith in the Western world and Islam is exactly that. In most religions you probably will always have a small minority of fundamentalists whose interpretation of the faith is initially literal and then it is twisted to what they seem to think it should be saying. Good Muslims are like good Jews or Christians. They are simply good people, no more, no less and they simply want to lead their lives in what they see as a good way.

Look at what you are dealing with. They see non-muslims as the enemy and their own religion says that it's OK to kill non-muslims.
They wanted to take over the world before but the Crusades turned them back. These days the liberal PC brigade aid them with all the rules that restrict free speech.
Islam cannot live in harmony with the free world because of their stupid tantrums. Look what happened when a few cartoons that were published.
The riots in France are another example after the French welcomed islam with open arms.

Christian is older than Islam.
Actually the ideals itself isn't exactly ancient. But some muslims choose to go with the ancient value, and that's a problem. However not every muslim goes with the ancient way, some of 'em are moderate.
So I guess it gets back to the individuals.

No because they do not tolerate non-fanatical bigots. They want cowardly paedophile suicide bombers. Islam is soon to be wiped from the face of the world for worshipping Satan.
They are a false religion.
