a packet of cigs then found them at the exact same place the next day, except the area stank of wee. I was stressed and didn't think about it so smoked one (!!!I know!!!) Could I have caught anything?!?!!?!? I now have a kind of tickly throat and I remember someone saying the first symptom of HIV is a cold!!!!! I'm a hypochondriac but still!

I can't believe you would do that in the first place - I mean, go back and pick them up, never mind smoking one!
If there was a chance rats were running around that area, then Weil's Disease (Leptospirosis) is the biggest threat to you.

uh... the "tickly throat" is a symptom of SMOKING! You can't get Aids from an object in most cases (not including infected needles and such). The first symptom of a simple cold is a tickly throat too and you are more prone to getting one of those or bronchitis when you smoke too. How long have you smoked and never gotten sick and a cough from it?? That should be a given. Why do you think people who smoke a lot always have a hoarse voice and cough? duh!

Man you are worse then my mom, and everything is wrong with her! ;-) You are fine - if HIV was that easy to catch more people would have it. I am confused as to why you would smoke something that smells like wee - if you are stressed read a book, walk, clean - don't smoke. It is bad for you - and now worse since you believe you may have caught something. It is in your mind - you will be fine.

Its possible you may have caught Hep as the urine on the packet you may have put to your lips. NOW IF THAT SCARED YOU THEN YOU SOULD LOOK AT THE FACT THAT WERE A FOOL FOR HAVING ONE OF THEM WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for HIV get into the land of the living & you have a computer type in HIV or AIDS & read about how it is contracted before making a stupid statement like that,.

You definitely can NOT catch HIV this way! I honestly don't think you could actually catch anything that way. If you're worried about serious risky behaviour and exposure to HIV pop round to your local health clinic for a test.

No! It's highly unlikely you could have caught anything from them. Unless you count acute embarrassment from being so cheap as to pick up a packet of discarded fags (yes, yes, I know they were yours) from a p*ss soaked pavement.
Of course you may well get cancer of the throat, tongue, lungs or emphysema or heart disease or..... but no, apart from Shame, I dont think so!

The only things you're going to get through that cigarette are all the chemicals (nicotine, carbon monoxide, cyanide etc) and lung cancer and heart disease.
Did you know that formaldehyde is what they pickle dead bodies in for medical schools?
