Current Hydrogen production is dependent on burning fossil fuels but this is more to do with scale and greed than necessity and it would be entirely possible to produce hydrogen without the burning of any fossil fuels.

Best way to make hydrogen is to electrolyze water with electricity made from sun by Solar cells.that way you do not have to use fossil fuel.Mojave desert is best for that. You can use the wind power and water power too which is again energy from the sun.Don't forget average energy received per square yard is about 1 kWh.and that is a lot of energy that means you can theoretically produce 10 mega watt from an area of 100 by 100 yards and if the efficiency is 20 percent you need an area of about 5 times more.

This is NOT true. Hydrogen can be produced with solar energy, or wind energy, or hydroelectric, there is even a detailed proposal from a Swiss engineer how to do it on a very big industrial scale with "sun towers" in desert areas.

we bury atomic waste in mountains where we will never see it again. and there isnt that much of it, all of the atomic waste produced from the 1950s to present could fit into the average super walmart. if you dont like using energy get off your computer and go live in a cave

but yeah it is kinda stupid how they make hydrogen look so green, you have to spend more energy making it then youll get out of it

That is totally false about producing hydrogen.

Hydrogen can be produced from any source of electricity, including hydroelectric dams, wind power, tidal power, geo-thermal power, nuclear power, coal, diesel, etc, etc.

I agree about nuclear atomic power on a large scale is not a good idea.

are you insane, Hydrogen for Hydrogen fuel cells, generally comes from running electricity though water thus making hydron and oxygen. You then re-combine them in a fuel cell, in use since the gemini space program, and produce water again. Moron.

You were doing so well with the garbage now you slip from the cutting edge to finger-pointing.

Poly synthetic for urban centers wind for rural and petroleum for plastics and chemical production.
