Because life mellows you.You realize kindness is something that doesn't take a whole lot of effort,and can brighten anothers day as well as your own.And after you've made enough mistakes of your own you become less judgmental of others.

The 40-60 people are nicer but when someone gets over the age of 70 watch out. It seems like old old people think they can say and do anything they want. I'm 50 and they treat me like I'm nothing.

When you are young, decisions are made from a place in your brain called the amygdala. It's your emotional control center. Think about how many young people make decisions based on how it will make them feel.
As you mature, around the early 20's, that process shifts to the frontal lobe where logical thinking comes from. Older people tend to consider the consequences of their choices.
Of course, we all use both parts of our brains unless there has been some kind of damage to one or the other, but just in different ratios.

I think when they start to realize that life ends. I think they realize that we are here to live and not to want more more more all the time. I think we waste to much time in life following possessions, and bigger and better things. So we often forget to see all the things we have all around us like family, and our beautiful world.
When you leave the world you take nothing but what we have learned, and love. Yet we spend our whole life looking for things that will never fill that empty spot.

Older ppl are much more experienced than us. They must have understood through their experiences that its better to be generous rather than having a harsh nature!!

Some people never change. Those who do, finally realize to stop sweating the small stuff. Its not worth the time and effort and they start to focus on positive things. Its not really an age thing. Some people never get it.
