I read up on this rumor on snopes.com. They say no, it was a bird or something. Now for something really freaky, try watching the movie synced to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. LOL

Yes. During the We're off to see the Wizard song when they are all together (the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Lion) you can see in the background a figure of a munchkin climb up a tree and hang himself. Make sure to be looking in the background of this scene and you will see it.

Yes, after the witch leaves, the group organized for a song in the street, right before they turn you can see the body drop and then violently swing back and fourth. But you can only see it in the original, the filmmakers saw their mistake after it was released and now the image isn't there.

I heard it was just a rumor, but if you go to imdb.com and type in the movie title, a screen will pop up about the movie. Scroll down, and you'll see the word trivia. Click on the word "more" next to it and you see a WHOLE page of fascinating trivia about the movie!
