The bombing of Catholic churches and shooting of Catholic religious figures is a little silly and ridiculous. The pope should not have to apologize. What's he going to say anyways, "Sorry for making comments on Muslim violence that created violence in the name of Allah"?

In my humble opinion, every single organized religion should be outlawed. All it does is create problems in countries and within governments.

This isn't about religion. This is about a large group of people who are too thinned skin and who think violence is an appropriate reaction whenever someone says something you don't like.

It's part of the culture, though. Listen to the leaders of the major Muslim nations. They always go completely overboard in their rhetoric.

It's going to be a long long time before things get better. These people are still living with attitudes that most of the West moved past about 100 years ago.

Let's see....The Pope reads from an historic document and quotes it as saying "Islam is a violent religion" and then the people of Islam riot, burn churches, kill Nuns, etc. in protest. Seems to me the quote is correct!

Your humble opinion, however, is anything but humble if you really believe "all organized religions should be outlawed". The religions are not creating the problems, people are!

If you look into the past you will find that the most atrocities against people have been committed in the name of religion.

I don't think it would ever be possible to outlaw religion. I do think that people of each religion should leave people of other religions alone. The pope and muslims have nothing to do with each other so why should they care about each others existence?

I think it is fine for every individual to believe whatever they want, they should just not bother others with their belief.

It's a big media bash. If the talking heads can't find anything important to discuss, they come up with something like this.
