This may sound silly but when I was prego I had a long drive from work to home. I used to keep a bag of hard candies beside me and suck them all the way home. Its the only thing I could do to stop myself from puking!

I know some woman eat soda crackers too!

Hopefully this will pass for you once you are done your first trimester. It usually does and congrats!

oooooooook... There are several things you can try. Peppermint can help with nausea. I was also told by my doctor to try this. Take a half tablet of unisom. Yes unisom. It is an over the counter sleep aid but for some reason it helps with nausea. And it worked! And it is not harmful to the baby. I unfortunately had morning sickness all day and for the entire 9 months with my last child, so my doctor also prescribed Phenergen (check spelling). It worked well also. This was a suppository but that is the fastest way for it to work.
There are the old mainstays such as ginger tablets, saltines, ginger ale etc...With every woman I think it is basically a trial and error kind of thing. So don't be discouraged and don't feel like you can't talk to your OB about it either. They can really be open to helping you find some relief from the morning sickness.
Congratulations and Good Luck!

Candy has helped me. PushPops, LemonHeads, SweeTarts, all have helped me. Root beer and Sprite have helped as well. For a healthy snack, cereal bars have also worked on me as well. I would suggest wearing SeaBands (those bands for seasickness), but if someone sees them and asks what they're for, it may be tough to come up with an excuse without spilling the beans. And make sure you don't let your stomach get empty, and be sure to drink plenty of fluid. Lack of fluid and an empty stomach can make nausea worse. I hope you feel better soon, and congratulations.

I bring a big bag of food with me everyday, I found if I keep something in my stomach all the time I don't feel as sick. My bag has: granola bars, yogurt, popcorn, apples, bananas, bread, crackers and ginger ale in it. I just eat something every half hour or so and it works for me. Good Luck, everyone keeps saying it will go away soon, I can't wait!!

I was keeping saltines (crackers) and a bottle of water at my desk. I found it best that if something was in my stomach at all times I felt less nauseated.

For me, nothing made it completely go away I always felt yucky but crackers and something settling to your stomach to drink should do the trick!

anything you can eat will help you. An empty stomach will make you throw up before one with food in it will.

Also, take 25ml of vitamin b6 three times a day. Thats what doctors perscribe for morning sickness. it works FANTASTIC. I went from 24/7 morning sickness, to nothing in just about a week.

Tell your doctor, he'll let you know you can take it. its widely suggested by all medical officials for morning sickness.

:)

Saltines help sometimes and are easy to put in your desk. Try not to take prenatals on an empty stomach either. Ginger ale helped one of my coworkers.

Eat small meals frequently. You get nauseous because you're hungry (strange, huh?). I've heard that ginger candy helps, but eating frequently worked for me.
