The dictionary tells me it's a hobby practised mainly by yunkies. I, myself, think it must be rather boring.

Im from Edinburgh and in the book Trainspotting it refers to all the unused railway tracks where junkies used to go to shot up, in the book an old tramp passes by the junkies and said " What you doing trainspotting?"

we used to go trainspotting,but really it was just an excuse to travel around and doss on trains.
