One of my best friends is from Mexico. She has asked me to be Nanny to her daughter...which I am very proud of. I need to know...what is a Nanny in Mexico? Any advice from someone who is from there would be greatly appreciated.

Yes a nanny is a baby sitter is has nothing to do with culture but is good that you ask because there are different types of relation between a nanny in some other countries for example it does not matter from where you are or what you do some mom's consider their nanny has their personal maid-babysitter-therapist-consultant-ect ect....yeah people I was one.and sometimes we are taken for granted. It does not mean it will happen to you but heads up..so is your choice as to as much you want to give or lose :p)
If you guys have a strong and trustworthy relationship then go for it. Also if in the future then if she has you to be the childs "madrina" that is Godmother then that is another story but yeah nanny is a nanny....is a second mom with more responsibilites because you need to be more extra careful in all and all remember is not your child although you love him/her as is. nanny in Mexico is like nanny anywhere else. You mainly have to take care of the kids

U watch the kids sometimes u cook/cloean SOMTIMES! but usually u just watch the kids and feed them and bathe them! same as u would here !
