They're taxing the heck out of smokers but not touching the booze. Why is that so?

You are so right. I often think of this point. Alcohol is a lot more dangerous than cigarettes. How many deaths on the highway are related to alcohol. People murder in drunken rage. No one is killed on the highway because of tobacco. Tobacco should be taxed along with alcohol.

In my opinion, the US Government knows the tons and tons of money that the states make for people who get drunk drivings, alcohol assessments, fines, probation fees, etc. So, they want the people to keep drinking because it makes them sooooooooooooooo rich, and not caring enough about people with alcohol PROBLEMS. They don't want people to quit drinking if they tax the heck out of alcohol cause they may lose money.

maybe c0z it's "truth surim" LOL and it'll get ppl knocked into their senses and then ppl will remeber they don't like the gov LOL

Anyways, no really look in the history book they've never liked that indestry...
I don't like Alcohol, but I do believe people should have a right to make their own and stuff ALL they want... just don't run over me take a taxi!

This is because it has not been proven that alcoholism and alcohol related diseases are as much of a burden on the state as tobacco related illness.
