Electricity is the movement of electrons, especially through a circuit, usually in the context of providing power to a device.

This question is impossible to answer because the word "Electricity" has several contradictory meanings. These different meanings are incompatible, and the contradictions confuse everyone. Unfortunately we have defined the word Electricity in a crazy way. Because the word "electricity" lacks a distinct meaning, we can never pin down the nature of electricity. In the end we are forced to declare that there's no such stuff as "electricity" at all.

Like charges repel and unlike charges attract.

Electrons are negatively charged and protons are positively charged.

Electrons are attracted to protons.

Electric flow occurs when the potential in a conductor is such that electrons are forced to flow through the conductor. This occurs when one end of the conductor is positive and the other end is negative - such as the terminals on a battery.
This energy can be used to power lights, motors, and many other devices.

Electricity is like your water pipes in your home. You have water pressure(Voltage), and then open the tap you have the movement of water (current) and then you have the force of the water, a combination of the pressure and flow (watts). The real mystery about Electricity is you can't see it.

If you leave all the sockets on in a downstairs room overnight the electricity will leak out and flood all over the floor (about 2cm deep in 8 hours).
Then you can paddle in it and feel what it is like.
Obviously bare feet are best for sensitivity

The word "electricity" applies to a range of phenomena, but they all generally relate to the behavior of electric charge, a fundamental property of subatomic particles. When your average layman refers to electricity, he's usually talking about electric current, or the movement of electric charges. Depending on the school of thought you subscribe to, it is either the flow of negative electrons from cathode to anode (or from a region of high negative charge to a region of relatively high positive charge) or the flow of positive charge carriers from anode to cathode.

whenever there is potential difference in a conductor n insulator to some extent, electrons move towards higher potential causing current from higher potential to lower potential .
electricity is nothing but this movement of electrons.
