I got into trouble with the group 9/20/06 by posting a really stupid lamely put question and while trying to explain the situation pertaining to the question posted , I was trying to send my reply when it asks me to verify my incoming and out going mail provider . Something about pop3 ....etc. and http....etc. Can anyone tell me how i find this out ?

Go to your email program. Look under your account. That should be in the tools menu on most programs. When you open that, you should see your name. Open that and you will see incoming mail server and outgoing mail server. That will be the name after your email name.

For example:

If your email address is spoogie@flatiron.com, your server will be something like:

POP Server (incoming) MAIL.MW.FLATIRON.COM

SMTP Server (outgoing) same

Only your service provider could help you with that. Still, if you use a mail client, you can verify it's settings. The POP3 and IMAP seerver names should be something like server.provider.com
