The 20 oz bag costs 10 cents an ounce.

The 10 oz bag costs 15 cents an ounce.

So the 20 oz bag is a better deal.

To calculate divide the price of the bag by the number of ounces in the bag.

So $2 / 20 = 10 cents and $1.50 / 10 = 15 cents.

A.

20oz bag = $ .10 per oz
10oz bag = $ .15 per oz

but if you only have $1.50 then 10oz it is.

Simple mathematics tells us that the 20 oz. bag costs $0.10 per oz., while the 10 oz bag costs $0.15 per oz. Apparently, the larger bag is the better buy. One must consider the brands involved. There are some cheap brands that I cannot eat, so they aren't a good buy at any price. I look at prices of acceptable brands for the best deal and don't buy brands I find inedible.

depends on whether you want a 10oz. bag or a 20 oz. bag. If you buy a 20 oz. bag then throw 1/2 away then that's not a good idea.

Best of luck - Mike

20oz bag of chips = $2.00
Therefore 1oz bag of chips = $2.00*1oz/20oz = $0.1 ----(1)
10oz bag of chips = $1.50
Therefore 1oz bag of chips = $1.50*1oz/10oz = $0.15---(2)
On comparing (1) and (2),
(2) consumes more money.
Hence 20oz bag of chips is a getter choice.

The 10oz bag because chips are bad for you. Value is measured by how much good it does for you :)

Of course it is better to buy a 20oz. bag, because it is like two 10 oz. bags for $1.00... But if you just want a 10 oz. bag, why should you get twice more than that... :D ???

change $ to cents for simplicity
