I recommend Pembroke School. It's in a suburb along The Parade called Kensington Park--gorgeous place, great location, and also safe to live in. Pembroke has really good sports teams; I used to be a boarder and one of my boarding house mates actually competed in the national swimming competition, so that must mean that Pembroke has a pretty darn good swimming team.

Work in scientific area... you mean as in to get a job? Or to go to school/uni?
School: Also Pembroke: great science department, qualified teachers, and complete facilities
Uni: Probably Flinders: they have a famous school of science and mathematics
Work: euh, you might have to google this yourself. my aunt took a PhD in chemistry in one of the uni's in Adelaide so that must mean that there are plenty of career opportunities out there in this field. just be sure that you get plenty of pro bono work experience while you're still in uni so that when you graduate you already have some credentials to list on your resume.
