I ADORE Steve Iwin! Please note that I did not say adored as in past tense. I believe that those of us who really respected him, the work that he did, his beliefs, and his endless energy and tireless efforts for the wildlife both nature and animals alike should HONOR him by keeping his dreams and ideas alive by doing all we can.

My children and I loyally watched not only his show The Crocodile Hunter but also Croc Files and any and all specials he had on Animal Planet. I believe that his shows and his ability to not only reach people of all ages but educate them about how precious this planet and the creatures on it were the best thing to hit prime time television in years. When we watched his shows (and his movie) it was our time to connect as a family and learn things together. Name one other type of real programming that can do that and keep the young and old enthralled and entertained!

The memorial was AMAZINGLY touching and beautiful. I too cried especially when Brian loaded Steve's truck for the last time and then drove it out of the Crocoseum with an honor guard of all the zoo employees. Especially when the choir placed the flowers on the ground which spelled out his signature "Crikey". Bindi was so strong for her mother and gave such an AWESOME speech about her dad and that she plans to continue on with his work.

Yes...My family and I are THE BIGGEST STEVE IRWIN FANS IN THE WORLD!

CROCS RULE!!!!!

REST IN PEACE MATE! WE LOVE YOU AND YOU'LL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

I love Steve Irwin! I grew up watching him since i was five or six years of age. He was a conservationist who helped educate people on animals. He really cared for wildlife. He died doing what he loved. There are all these people who don't like him,I don't understand that.He never hurt anyone. They all say he was just an idiot. They say he died because he was an idiot putting on a show for other idiots. This is not true he didn't even care about being a celebrity, he was doing what he grew up doing and what he loved to do.The people that say this aren't even grieving for Steve's two little kids Bob and Bindi and his wife Terri. This just infuriates me how people can be so ignorant. His memorial on Animal Planet Last night was great. His daughter Bindi spoke and that was so sad.If you missed it, I bet it will come on again on Animal Planet.

I thought Steve Irwin was wonderful and sincere. He lived his life to the absolute fullest and made his mark the way he wanted to. He didn't make excuses for the way he lived his life. He showed passion in everything he did, compassion for every creature, and dedication to that passion and compassion. Not many people go through this life knowing what they want to do AND having the courage to do it.

He was my favorite. I watched his memorial the other night and I haven't cried like that in ages! Yes he was a wonderful husband and father. You could really tell it was for real!!! We sure need more conservationists like him. There will never be another though. One of a kind.

And you people who answer that he was careless and foolish!! How in the world do you think he got the ratings he did?

I thought the guy was careless and foolish. Although he did great things for conservation and animal right and awareness, he still acted very foolishly. It is a shame that he died the way he did, but it didn't come as a huge shocker. I hope his family can find peace.
