Did anyone watch it? If so, can you tell me what the woman in the last scene found on the ground? It was a woman with long blonde hair, driving in the dark. She seemed to have run something over in her car, so she stopped, got out, looked at these 'things' on the ground, and then asked what was happening. Did anyone notice what the 'things' on the ground were? Any insight is appreciated ~

Thanks!

They appeared to be dead crows or ravens. Birds are much more susceptible to damaging radiation, gases and heat than humans -- all conditions that follow the detonation of a nuclear bomb. This is why miners used to carry canaries with them into the mines. If the canary dropped dead (most likely from poisonous gas), the miners high-tailed it back to the surface.

edit: There is also a terrible shock wave that follows a nuclear blast that could have carried these birds far from where they were first killed mid-air. The character in the story may or may not have entered the area of radiation depending on where these birds were killed.

I live in Denver, and have travelled three times to Kansas this summer alone (relatives). There is no way Jericho is close enough to see an explosion in Denver that appears to be on the western side of the mountains. Plus, you lose sight of the mountains as you drive east while you are still in Colorado. They certainly don't stand as high on the horizon as portrayed in Jericho. But with these little anachronisms aside, I'm hoping this show succeeds for at least one season. It is an intriguing premise considering the current state of affairs in the world. The Cold War has returned under a new guise. The fear mongers may find this form of propaganda quite helpful.

Don't get too involved with this series. I'll bet it will be cancelled before the end of the season.
