Yep, from personal experience mine girth has increased by 2 inches. When I first started, I used a flared pump then about 3 years later I got the smooth tube. I use the Vacu-tech company's brand. After each session, I use a cocck-strap, velcro or snap version not the metal kind.
abqdan is correct about blood vessel information just don't over do the process. I have experienced that and it's scary to see the pennis bleeding.

This is your problem, not his. There's no reason why he should alter his equipment for your pleasure. Perhaps you can try some exercises to tighten up your muscles?
Penis pumps increase the blood flow to the penis and make it temporarily wider, but they also can rupture blood vessels causing bruising and in some cases permanent damage. This is not something he should consider just because you don't like the way he's made.
