Girl I know exactly how you feel. Every month I suffer from very bad cramps on the very first day. So what I do is I take a warm shower to sorta relax my body and muscles and I take a wash cloth and warm it up with warm water and place it on my abdomen or you can use a water heating pad and I put on some loose fitting clothes to help me relax more. Then I like tea so I drink about two cups of Chamomile tea but first I take Motrin or Midol or Pamprin it all works for me. Then I just lay around and sleep to ease the pain. I hope this helps you like it helped me! Feel better sweetie!

I have been having the same problem. I am actually about to have surgery on Tues. to fix my problem. I have small cysts on my ovaries and I have endomitriosis (or however you spell it) My last few periods have been unbearable! They have to keep me heavily medicated while I'm p.m.s.'ing because I am hurting so bad nothing helps me. And it's not like I'm bleeding heavy or anything, that part is normal. I can't even take asprin or IB profen for regular pain, my body has some weird tolerance to an kind of medication. I have heard that if you eat pineapples, or drink the juice it will help relieve cramps. I haven't been able to try it yet, but it sounds easy enough, and when I don't have any other choice I take a hot bath to relieve my pain and that works pretty good. I hope you figure it out soon, but I would go to the doctor. I have had this proble sinceI was 16 and every doctor I went to told me I was fine, handed me birth control pills and sent me on my way. Now at 24 I finally found a dodctor that would look into the problem and found the cysts and endo. I knew this whole time that something was wrong with me, and I seen several doctors, not just one or two,...several, and they all said the same thing. If it keeps up go to the hospital. That is what my new doctor said. If the pain is more than you can bear and you don't have anything to relieve it, then go to the hospital. Hope you feel better soon. Don't be like me and take what ever a doctor gives me, (the damage on me might already be done for how long it took to find and fix the problem.)

Midol works excellently, so do many other things. resting in the bed during the first couple of days of your period keeping a heating pad on your stomach. a sticky thermal patch will work just as well too. also try taking a sit down bath in some apple sider vinager, this will calm the cramps and stop the bleeding for a couple of hours.

consider going on the pill. It not only regulates your period, but certainly lessons cramping. I have been on the pill for over 10 years and haven't had cramps since. And before I went on the pill, my cramps were so bad I had to call in sick at work once a month.

Take just one. And if it doesn't work you can have an aspirin as well. To prepare for next month...exercise when this period is over and keep it up. Eat lots of calcium fortified foods and your next period will be easier.

Try drinking some milk. That always used to happen to me, I'd be crying all cyrled up in fetal position on my bed, but milk always did the trick.

You should talk to your OBGYN about this. You may have some other issues (endometriosis etc.) Maybe not, but I think it would be worth your time to check.
