o.m.t. therapy worked wonders for me (but its expensive) i have tried 5 or 6 different types of therapies for the same symptoms as you and most of them made me ´worse´ especially muscle relaxant medicines subscribed by the doctor , i wont take medicine again now...... O.M.T (orthopaedic manipulative therapy ) has to be by far the best

Try a TENS machine. It uses a mild electric current to match the spasm in your muscle and thus eliminate the pain. Sounds weird but it really works and doesn't hurt. And you can use it for lots of different aches and pains. You can get them in Boots in the UK.
Also try getting some Alexander Technique lessons. A practitioner will teach you how to stand, sit, walk etc with the least possible pressure on your skeleton and muscles and correct any bad posture habits you have that are causing you pain - you'll feel like a new person!

At the age of 12 I started have this type of pain, and I also went from chiropractor, to physical therapy, to neurologists- etc- my parents had no health insurance at the time and spent a mint- for the drs. to tell me, "there is nothing wrong with you". Oh yeah- ask my muscles in my neck and shoulders- I am 49 now- and even in worse pain, due to the fact I am a woman in per menopause- in which, after doing my own research- I can say it is normal for someone who has what I do- and I am thinking you probably do as well- FIBROMYALGIA- I have heard that acupunture helps some of FM patients temporarily until you stop Don't give up- I understand your pain, if you can email and want to talk do so. Have you ever been told, "it is all in your head?"

Or else they would probably be charged by the law.

Osteopath - it took me ages to get my neck sorted out. Worth it. I also try not to sleep on my stomach as this strains the neck. And I have a small bench which I can tip down. I lie on this, head to the floor, to stretch out my neck and shoulders. That's really good.

i have muscle spasms in my back and legs i take dishpan and morphine it helps but not much and i have also had mitriptyline that is supposed top be good it send a message to the brain and supposed to stop the pain and spasms stems in your body not sure it will help but hey life is a gamble

Posture is important, although I am slouching at this moment. Also, stretch out every morning and a little bit during the day. I've been doing this for years and it seems to help.

Osteopath really worked for me. I now do yoga which is briliant for posture and stretching out pains, espcially those we hold on too.
Also a Thai massage is brilliant for stretching out sore muscles.
