I'm not one to go about imagining different endings to books just so everyone can live happily ever after...I would end it just like he does. Sad but beautiful.

I agree with everyone else...I wouldn't change the ending. It made the book more emotional and memorable. It was tragic, but you got to witness how Landon (the main guy) dealt with that experience. He looked back on that part of his life with no regrets. He was made a better person because of Jamie.

P.S. No wonder Nicholas Sparks is my favorite author!

I love the way that book ends...i don't know how i would change it ... its perfect the way it is
