The entire 'Storyteller' collection from 1988 was released on DVD together with the 'Storyteller - Greek Myths' episodes from 1990. I've tried all the usual places to try to get it; Amazon, Ebay, etc. but they only appear to have Region 1 DVD's available which I can't use. Can anybody help?

According to the internet movie database it has only been released in Region 1 so far. I would imagine that this means they will soon be repackaging it and rereleasing it. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.

Be very careful if you attempt to buy a Region 2 version - it will almost certainly be a copy from Region 1 (as it was never officially released as Region 2)...so the quality may vary.

Try looking on e-bay BUT enter " Jim Henson's The Storyteller" under tv/dvd and you will find it. There was two series. The first with John Hurt and the second with ? Gambon..Greek myths etc.
The 1st is in two dvds for region2 usually although I have seen one called "the Complete Collection" series on one dvd and region2. I think that this is from the Netherlands(Holland) Picture quality by some accounts for both is a bit grainy but I remember the original like that anyway. Good series.

link to e-bay for this dvd at 18.99 plus p&p direct/new

There is only 1 region 2 add at present, give it a while for more to appear or set an alert. The one for sale is a Danish import but you might like to search Dutch DVD sites for similar.

Audio Compact discs at the instant are not area coded, purely DVD, console video games, and Blu-Ray area codes are used to regulate launch. For DVD, area a million is US and Canada, area 2 is maximum of Europe. buddy and NTSC are video formats, which techically do not count, yet usually area a million DVDs are NTSC, and area 2 are buddy, becase of the video formats utilized in those areas. you will discover what area a DVD is made for by potential of finding on the DVD conceal, which will have a globe with a quantity, the quantity being the area.

I brought mine from Ebay, (quite expensive) and then I walk into HMV and they have it there for half the price (damn it) but this was about a year ago and it didn't have the greek legends on it, so I guess this isn't what your looking for, good luck though!!
