You can pick up the iron-on blanks from any store like WalMart. Just for the heck of it, I did this years ago, when I first got my computer.
One thing you need to take into consideration is the quality of your colour printer. If it doesn't give good quality prints, then just don't bother. Because the transfer process to the iron-on always makes the picture look tired and out of focus unless the quality is really crisp to begin with.

I have photos and my drawings and paintings copied onto T-shirts. Some shops specialize in printing on T-shirts, and some print shops can do it. Basically, a sticky xerox is made and applied to the T-shirt. Check your local telephone directory to find places that might do such work. You probably don't live where I do.

You can go to any wal mart and buy iron ons that you can put in your printer and print a photo onto. Then just iron it onto the T-shirt. We did this for a friend's band. You can also find the iron ons at Jo-Ann's fabric.

You have to get special 'transfer' paper for your printer. You print the required photo onto the paper then (usually) iron it onto the shirt with a hot domestic iron.

You can do it yourself. Look for iron-on transfer sheets. Epson, Canon and other brands that make glossy photo paper also sell these transfer sheets in packs of 10 or 20.
You first print your picture on to one of these sheets (full color, full page, but mirror imaged) and then you iron the picture on to a 100% cotton shirt.
It's simple as can be - if I can do it, anyone can :-)
