There are thousands of variations of this. The local police won't do anything because it is an international matter, and the feds won't bother because it is too petty for them. So the only ones who are at risk are the greedy people who believe these bizarre things and fall for them.

By the way, the woman is not a woman, her(his) husband has not been murdered, and she (he) has no son. I have to laugh at these people, they are so pathetic.

Normally, you can report them to a "abuse" email address for your service provider. For example "abuse@verizon.com".

However, the only thing they can really do is block the email in the spam filter (because this is consered spam also).

If you have a spam filter, consider turning it on, it should remove these emails. If you don't, just delete it immediately and don't waste another second on it.

These type of scam e-mails are sent out by the millions. Just delete it. There is nothing you can do since they come from outside of the USA.

I think the only thing you can do is keep deleting them. Hot Mail isn't going to do anything about it, unfortunately.

I get them too. Reporting them won't help much; this is a famous scam that continues to circulate in various forms and you'll keep getting different versions. Luckily, they don't flood your inbox; they're just an occasional nuisance. Just delete it and forget about it. For more info, check out this link:
