I assume you don't want to call for repairs? That would be the best solution. However, if not, check the jets to see if there is any accumulation of dirt or debris in or around them. The link below has step-by-step instructions on how to clean a malfunctioning gas stove -- hope it helps. Good luck!

I would first look on line .. about your model and check out the HANDBOOK. however, that is a serious problem, I would extinguish the pilot light in the top and open up the stove and thoroughly clean the burners.. usually it is something simple like the jets that allow the gas to come through are clogged with grease or dirt. Use a common cleaner like 409 initially, and use gloves too, while you are working. Hopefully that will work. But definitely break out the handbook that came with your stove.

Depends how old your stove is? You can remove the burners (make sure the gas is off) and take the to an appliance store. They should be able to sell you replacements in you have the make, model number, and serial number. If you can not do this your self call an appliance repair-person(s) and get estimates of cost before you have them come out. Make sure they can repair it before they come this could be a costly matter. If, you stove is real old (5 - 10 years) you may consider buying a new one.

Did they both quit at the same time?Do they still admit gas out? (You can light them burner manually)You may have a clogged oriface (nothing personal) I would really get a service tech to check this.I would,nt really play around with gas.
You Can replace the burners. We used to sell them at Lowes. If you have a local Lowes, bring one in and see if they can replace it.Kenmore is made by Whirlpool,so it should not be a problem.

well the burners are proably clogged. degreasing is a nasty difficult job.if its 10yrs or older just buy a used 1 in good working shape. its not worth going to the burn unit for a stove.

I have seen this often.. You can contact probably Sears there and ask them for replacement burners.. or you can contact the Sears 800 number and ask them where the nearest Sears repair store is.... in your area
