I recently worked for a non profit locally and placed in position of authority, given a crew of young men with little experience. The customer(S) needed huge amounts products and therefore I was pushed and challenged my crew. These young men did an outstanding job, however my supervisor deny me training and access to materials and equipment by stalling me out. I had to improvise as much as possible and got the job done, they bosses were happy for the money we made but continued added pressure for other services that initially were not mentioned and continued to deny me valuable training and access. I tried to transfer and not even given the consideration of moving on within the company.Later I was told that," the only reason I had been placed in that position was because I was expected to fail"

Take your experience and move on. You now know you have a lot more on the ball then you thought you did. You might want to take a look at yourself and try to figure out why they thought you would fail. Do you need to redo your resume? Make your appearance more professional?
But now you know you got it. So use it!

Cheeky people!! Read your employment contract - its against the law to deny employees of training, especially training necessary to a particular job role.

And as for them expecting you to fail, that would be my incentive to do everything that was asked with flying colours, while looking for another job and hopefully if timed right, you could leave them high and dry and see how they liked failing!!
