God may be infinite, but the universe is finite.
The universe would be very hard to weigh if it was infinite.

Even if the Universe is infinite, this does not necessarily mean that "every possible thing will happen an infinite number of times" or that "everything that happens will happen again sometime in the future by chance". Various "infinities" have different sizes, and the infinite size of the Universe may still not be big enough to allow repeat events of everything. Also, there may be an overall evolution of the Universe that provides for different physical conditions, even at an infinite number of times.

A finite universe,it could not be anything else! A quantum unverse must be finite.einstien knew this,he gave the mathmatics of quantum mechanics. This posed a very serious problem for Albert. If you have a finite universe some day you will have to get rid of it. When you get rid of a universe you must get rid of yourself also. An incident that occurs once and never occurs again.Einstien solved the conundrum of a finite universe, quite succinctly when he said "God does not play dice with the universe" So he had a quantum universe [ which couldnot be anything else] and an infinite universe [which is impossible] If Einstien were here to-day I would tell we lived in finite universe ,he would diagree with me and he would be wrong! Why not infinite? The answer is logical, objective and cannot rely on faith!!

At first there was infinitely nothing. Nothing is a vacuum. Then matter was somehow introduced to the vacuum. A vacuum attempts to destroy matter by expanding it but, in the process, the vacuum destroys its self. Since the nothing that no longer exists was infinite, the universe must be infinite, keeping in mind that our particular clump of stars, planets, and galaxies may not be the entire universe and that the universe may mostly consist of dust that serves as fuel for the infinite creation of more stars and planets.

if the Universe is Finite, then what lays beyond the Universe? The Universe is a man made term to describe the enviroment of space we are in, when we started pondering about space, we could not imagine an ending to the heavens, so we described it as the Universe ... now that we think we have discovered the vey edges of the Universe, they term may be changed to reflect anything (or nothing) that resides outside, so as far as the term Universe is considered, the Universe is Infinite, as far as what we used to think of the Universe, that part might be finite.

Yeah its infinite, but does that mean there is no centre of the universe, or that everywhere is the centre because there is an equal amount of infinity in every direction of everywhere, like Earth for example could be the centre of the universe as there is infinite space and time in every direction.

Anything beyond the mental conception in infinite ,yes there could be infinite worlds and each world having each one of us there, its only our imagination that has this power to make the infinite finite

I do not believe that the universe is infinite - but it is boundless. In other words, it would be impossible for you to travel to the edge because, as space-time is curved, you would just end up back where you started.

Nothing is infinite, as our minds cannot figure out the meaning of that term.
It's like trying to define a fifth dimension, we simply cannot (yet).
Everything will eventually collapse and the universe will disappear.....only to reappear with probably a whole different set of physical laws.

The big bang theory suggests that there is a finite amount of matter in the universe.
Go beyond the limits of matter then you end up in a big, fat nothing, devoid of matter, light, time, anything. However, the fact that you have travelled there means that that part of the universe is no longer empty and time, matter etc exist there so it becomes part of the known universe.
Ugh. My head hurts.

It's both :-))))
The universe in finite in that it has a boundary, but it is also infinite because the boundary is moving away faster than anything in the universe can travel.
