Actually I think this is a very interesting question and I think its interesting that so many have reacted so strongly to the question.
I believe many of us have traumatic birth experiences..they are really important first 'imprints'. I have read some really interesting stuff on this subject by Leboyer and another book I remember is "The Mind of Your Newborn " - some vey interesting studies where people under hypnosis recalled their first 'memories' at birth...these experiences tallyed with their mother's account, despite never having been told what happened at their birth.
Why people PRESUME babies are dumb I do not know. The consciousness is all fully there, even if the language etc is not.
If people realised this, many of our cruel practices would cease...and we are evolving a better understanding which is why babies are no longer circumsized without anaesthetic. and slapped around as soon as they are born.
But to answer your question - no I do not 'remember' being born but I had a very interesting dream which I believe was a birth memory. And I believe babies are conscious of their births enough to have enabled my 2 girls to be born gently and naturally at home.

The answer is, no one can actually remember being born. We did this in Psychology because when we are first born, we cannot put anything into context (i.e. we do not have the correct schemas to classify things around us) and therefore, we cannot store it in our memories as we do not know what it is we are storing. Some people may be convinced that they remember it, but this may be a dream which they may have been so convinced by that they believe it was the moment they were actually born.
Hope this has helped

I can't remember being born but I can remember the fear of moving. I worked out I was nine months old when I moved house.

No. I don't. My earliest memory is of myself at about three yrs old. I have a 7yr old son and he says that he remembers being born.. but we've been talking about this since he was about 3yrs old. I'm sure he may have fresher memories of his birth than I do mine.

I have heard of remember to very early ages but that would be amazing! - No - I don't remember that far back. At the age of 50, I am happy to remember (accurately) yesterday.

Nobody can remember being born and if they say they can they're making it up.

No, both my mom and I were wiped out from sedation. They put her to sleep so I guess I got a dose too. I only have snippets of recollections of being young, and they start at age 3

No, and frankly, I would question the validity of anybody that says they do. Most people I know say their first memories that they retain to this day go back to about the age of three or four.
