We've spent a lot fo time together but we had a ltitle break from one another a little while ago. It meant that he booked a holiday and when we got back on he had it planned.

Keeping busy but is there anything I can do to alleviate the 'missing' feeling a little more?

Have you got a piece of clothing with his 'smell' on? I read the other day that taking this to bed each night helps with missing someone. When I look back into my far distant past, I also did this and it worked! It makes him feel closer and brings psychological and emotional comfort. I guess you are already doing things like kissing his photo and talking to it as if he is there? (No I am not bonkers!!) I am sure the time will pass quickly, particularly if you keep busy. Good luck and I hope you have some lovely times together when he returns. (You could plan a lovely romantic evening ......)

I am a wife of an ex marine and can empathize with your feelings. He sometimes was away for as long as a year! I found that keeping as busy as possible helped but that night time and weekends were absolutely the hardest. Try hanging out with mutual friends or family . This somehow makes you feel closer to the person that is away. Also, start planning a special evening for him for when he returns. On the lighter side, just remember all of the things that he did or does that really ticks you off! Remember, the first day or two are the hardest-it gets easier every day. Before you know it the two weeks will be up and it will seem as if he was never gone. Good luck!

Is he somewhere you can contact him? If you can why not try a dirty phonecall if you're into that kind of thing? Aural sex can make up for the miles, and sometimes hearing their voice can make you miss a distant lover less.

Other than that, keep on keeping busy! Catch up on any jobs you've been putting off, read, look into new hobbies etc, anything to keep your mind occupied. And of course, never forget your friends!

its all part and parcel of a break up. It's meant to throw up things like this to see if you are compatible. If your missing him then i feel getting back together was the right decision. Good luck for the happy return.....

Just like you guessed, not being busy makes you miss him so much.To reduce that you would have to provide avenues that makes you busy.
Take a hobby such as karate, cycling and stick to the activities

Party like he will be. Sorry to be blunt, not trying to suggest he'll be up to no good or anything but just go out and have a good time.
