An alignment may help...if you go to get one, they will let you know if you need anything else...your tires may need balanced or you may have bad belts and need new tires...or shocks/struts/ball joints/tie rods...
Good luck!

If its a simple thing like badly balanced wheels, you should have this happening at all speeds.
I dont remember the exact technical term for it, but, there is a particular speed, which might vary from vehicle to vehicle,at which minor misalignments in various rotating parts resonate together. This resonation manifests as a momentery shudder, hardly noticeable while you are accelerating to a speed above the resonating speed.
But your car might have its resonation at 35mph.You could try driving at 35.5 or 36.If the number of resonating parts decreases, it should cause a corresponding decrease in the shudder.
Similarly, try a lower speed, say 33 or 34mph. Is the problem less?
You get the shudder from only the front wheels because most modern cars have a front wheel drive unlike the older rear wheel drive.
Hope this helps

A wheel alignment will not fix it. It depends on what kind of vehicle you have . It could be bad shocks or struts,or maybe bad tie rods, depending on whether it is actually a wheel hop or a shimmy. If it is a Jeep or a Dodge 4 wheel drive it would probably be a bad track bar and steering stabilizer. It could be tires also. It just depends on what type of hop you have.

Could be anything from struts to shocks to unbalance or improper balanced tires, loose or worn wheel bearings, front end components, alignment etc!
Need to have a mechanic take a look and diagnose for you!
