You DEFINITELY have a urinary tract infection. Don't wait!! It can severely damage your bladder and move into your kidney too if you let it go unchecked.

All you need is antibiotics and you'll feel better in a day or two...but finish the full course to get all the bacteria or else it will return.

If you're a girl...TWO tips to take with you for life...usually you get these infections thanks to SEX....dirty hands, etc...NEVER, ever have anal sex and then let the guy move from front to back...that is a no no.

Secondly never wipe from back to front either as what's in the back end there is what causes the infection to happen in the front. Some women even get infections after their periods as you can imagine that bacteria could quickly build up in that "environment" so make sure you are very hygenic about changing pads or tampons often and staying clean down there.

Too much information right? Never!!! :~)

Boy I don't know where some of you people are from but you do NOT cure your own infections with stuff like CRANBERRY JUICE!!! Get REAL...I can't believe how many people do nothing but silly home remedies when they are seriously ill.

My son's oncologist has told me numerous stories of children who have died because of people who think they know better than doctors who have studied decades and done world wide research...wow...I can't imagine putting anyone's life at risk because of sheer ignorance or superstitious beliefs or whatever it is that motivates minds like that to do what they do.

I have this problem alot because of a damaged bladder from a really rare disease I have. You need to see your doc asap. Only antibiotics will help you. If you let it carry on you will start peeing blood and that really hurts. So please get it sorted quickly. At the moment you probably only have a bladder infection, but if you wait, it will spread to your kidneys. Take a first thing of the morning sample to your doc, they can test it there and put you on what you need straight away. Nothing to be embarrassed about, it just happens sometimes. I end up in the same state about every 4 months.

It sounds like you might have cystitus (not sure of the spelling there). This generally happens if you haven't been drinking enough water or are dehydrated for other reasons. The best cure is to drink lots and lots of water, which will resolve the problem in one or two days. Otherwise i believe there is a pill available at the chemists.

I had the same thing and did nothing!! go to your doctor immediately it could be a bladder/kidney infection and trust me you don't want to have the full blown effects of the infection. it feels like you are going to die. meanwhile go pour yourself a glass of water and drink as much as you can all day. another good thing to do is to drink lots of cranberry juice, it has lots of different properties that can help kill the bacteria. if it is not your bladder or kidneys it could be an STD, so what ever it is do not delay and see your doctor asap, please!!!
Good luck i hope it isn't to serious.

Cystitis. Go and get a course of antibiotics from the doc and drink cranberry juice. For her up there - the cranberry juice just helps the situation, not cures it.

You probably have realised thru reading all the answers, sounds to me like you have cystitis. You need to drink plenty of water and I mean plenty, that should hopefully make it pass (excuse the pun), but if your not better soon u should maybe go and see your doc.

This is a medical condition called cystitis, commonly known as honeymooners disease.

Drinking cranberry juice can, apparently, help prevent it but there is no cure.

Try drinking a bottle of J20 orange and cranberry juice.

(Other brands are available)
