Chavez and Ahmadinejad should be arrested and tried for supporting terrorists, not for their word, but for their actions.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. Bill used that last night as the reason that we should allow anything to be said even in the UN, even within our country. He also said, that the day before the launch of a nuclear weapon at us would be Iran's best day, implying that we would lay waste to that country if such a thing happened. I hope they are convinced that this is true, but I doubt they do believe that and maybe don't care. Pat Robertson in his way is as bad as Chavez, but either have the right to express their opinion. Often expressing your opinion causes consequences. Now, to me, the words directed toward our president (even though I am not a supporter of Pres Bush) and our country and ultimately me and my family were extreme enough and there is enough evidence that Chavez would do everything necessary to cause the downfall of the USA as we know it, that I feel we should launch such an economic war against his country that he would be overthrown by his own people. I would even blockade it and if he wants war, so be it. Same applies to Iran and its idiot ruler. The USA must start standing up just because it wants to, not because we are finally forced into a corner and must. By standing strong always much of the nonsense in the world will be averted without firing a shot or taking any action because the petty despots would learn that we mean business. It would require sacrifices and gas would go back up but in the long run it is necessary. In Venezuela there already is discontent in some quarters. Maybe we can topple his little tower.

No. It supports everyone elses comments that Venezuela is still a third world country. Having a small oil reserve does not make one ready for the big leagues. There's a reason Bush and Bolton skipped his "speech"... because they know the guy is a clown.

But if the citizens felt like rising up against their socialist dictator and restoring democracy I'm sure the CIA would be able to find a few advisors to assist Venezuela.

Actually Pat Robertson is equally vile as Chavez for his comments.

Pat Robertson is an idiot and bamboozler. I don't think he should be assassinated, but I sure wish he'd go to meet his maker.

As for Chavez, you need to realize that the rest of the world regards the US as he does--as the oppressor, as the evil empire, as the militaristic and violent destroyer (Darth Vader). It's pretty sad that the "greatest" country in the world is now great because of its military and oppression and not because of its being a beacon of hope. The US has morphed into the old USSR, bloated, corrupt, violent, and sick. If the US doesn't wake up soon and realize the truth of what Chavez says, it will be destroyed by its own rottenness. Where are our idealists? Where are our good people? Where is there righteousness and justice? Where is our vision?

I do not like Mr Chavez, his remarks were inflamatory, and ridiculous for a world leader, but nothing justifies calling for an assassination. Assassination is murder. To engage in such tactics make you as bad or worse than that which you are fighting. Mr Robertson was wrong plain and simple.

Chavez is an idiot. Venezuela has a habit of getting those. He said Bush was the devil, and he could still smell the sulfur. Then, the president of Iran delivered a tirade. The UN should not have permitted this. We should get out of that useless organization.
