30 years since I been pregnant. Alot has changed with time. I actually have a 3 part question. Will start with "butterflies".... I am not quite sure yet how far along I am but feel like these little twitching butterfly movements - sometimes. Normal?? Next is boobs. It is like they hurt on the "inside" and I see big blue veins around them - that I do not normall witness. Again is that normal? And finally hiccups....Seems as though I get them alot. Plus it also seems like I am quite clumsy these days. Sorry for so many questions - but 30 years ago - was a long time ago. Ty for any help

The butterfly sensation is the first to appear as your baby moving. All normal. Though don't rule out that it can be gas. You boobs hurting from the inside is perfectly normal. I am 23 weeks pregnant. Mine sometimes feel as if someone is in them stabbing me. The veins are normal as with pregnancy, your blood flow has increased. With that, small blue or purple veins in your breasts, stomach and legs. With the hiccups, make sure you drink plenty of water. Watch and keep track of when you get the hiccups. If they appear more with different foods or drinks, try to limit your intake of these things. Keep plenty of tums of hand. One good way for me to get rid of hiccups is by drinking a highly carbinated soda like coca cola or dr. pepper. Get out a few good burps, and gone. If you still have concerns, check with your doctor. They are truly the ones to answer your questions. Don't ever think any question is stupid. They have heard all sorts of them. Good luck.

All of your symptoms are perfectly normal for pregnancy. Butterfly twitching can be the baby starting to move or the muscles that hold your uterus getting used to the extra weight of the baby. Boobs, hurting on the inside, that is your breast getting ready to produce milk for the baby, getting things cleaned out and ready for milk production. Hiccups are caused by the extra room that is being taken up by baby. Even if the baby is small the uterus starts to swell and moves things around causing irritation to your diaphragm which causes hiccups.

Rx-butterflies nothing you can do about them.
RX- Boobs you can massage them and put warm compresses on them that will help sometimes.
RX- Hiccups drink lots of water that usually calms the diaphragm but sometimes it takes a long time to calm the diaphragm.

Remember when you are pregnant the intestines are being pushed upward toward your diaphram. The butterfiles might be your nerves rearranging. OF course the hiccups are the pressure on the diaphram. The breast as they get larger are going to feel engorged. A warm heating pad can help. Clumsy is all a part of it too. Your hormones are making your ligaments loose so that the body can grow to support the child. You are fine . Hang in there. It is great that you are with child. Best of luck!!!

If you are indeed pregnant the twitching is most likely your muscles preparing to grow with your baby, and yes it's normal, it's normal even to feel mild cramping as long as there is no spotting or discharge. Your boobs are totally normal...that was my first sign, they hurt from the inside out and that's okay. And hiccups, I've heard of that from many women but never personally experienced it, so I wouldn't panic over that either. Sounds like you might be stressing yourself out over the little things, let them take care of themselves. Try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy.
